In our first experience with the laser welder did not disappoint. Out of the box we immediately noticed the design was well thought out and made with high quality. The machine has simple controls with storage areas for parts and casters to easily move around the shop. The welder was unboxed and setup by a Fab-line technician who was also able to give our welders some beginner instructions including safe handling of the laser gun and proper use of the required PPE. It came with a variety of tips, wire feeder, eye protection and other accessories.

This laser welder offers us another option in welding around difficult shapes and thin materials, areas that are tough for anyone to weld even for a seasoned welder. This is must for small precise welds with good penetration, with or without wire filler material, welds almost impossible for a tig or mig welder to do. With a little practice welds look perfect. Welds are made quickly with instant heat up unlike a tig welder that requires heating up a puddle. Comparing to a mig welder speeds are 2-3 times as fast with no weld spatter so no wasted time cleaning up the weld area. The welder doesn’t require a trained welder to use it so in just a few days a person can be proficient at using this machine. The welder offers so much potential we continually find new jobs to use it on from custom work to regular production jobs. One of the unexpected benefits is to use the cutting option saving the need for a separate machine like a plasma cutter. We are very pleased with the machine and would definitely recommend this to increase a company’s welding capabilities.
